Urban Portrait Pod at Canary Wharf

Writer's picture: MAWalkerMAWalker

What an incredible day I had leading the Urban Portrait Pod with the amazing photographers from The Camera Club on 18 January!

We met at Canary Wharf, cameras in hand and full of creative energy, ready to capture something special. It was such a joy to see everyone experimenting with their styles, finding unique angles, and creating some truly stunning portraits of one another. There is something magical about seeing photographers step in front of the lens for a change – the connection, the shared trust, the creativity – it all came together beautifully.

The backdrop of Canary Wharf, with its modern architecture and striking lines, gave us so much to play with. Our "discreet" cameras proved to be the perfect companions for staying light on our feet and blending seamlessly into the urban environment.

What I loved most was the camaraderie – how we supported, encouraged, and inspired each other. The shared passion and energy were infectious, and it reminded me just how special it is to be part of this creative community.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and brought their unique vision and energy to the session. You all made this such a memorable experience, and I’m already looking forward to the next one!

Here’s to capturing more moments, making more connections, and continuing to push the boundaries of our creativity together. 📸✨

All my photos shown here were taken with the Ricoh GRIII.
